ACTIVITY:

An integrated wave-wind hydrodynamic model will be developed and optimized, including mechanical and structural assessment as well as environmental loading and shipbuilding considerations:

  • selection and adaptation of most suitable wind turbines for coupling,
  • design of wave platform with incorporation of wind turbines into water based power take-off,
  • development of water based power take-off system for selected wind turbines,
  • calculate power outputs and variations due to motion and input to switching system design,
  • development of advanced control system to maximize total energy production of the hybrid converter.
