The group on Inorganic Interfaces and Membranes (Dept. of Interfacial Engineering and Materials Science) holds renowned expertise in membrane technology and processing. Specifically, the group has experience with methodologies for surface modification of reverse osmosis membranes by plasma technology to reduce fouling behaviour, and testing of these membranes (interfacial engineering).


Main contribution to WP5, on membrane surface modification by Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapour Deposition (PECVD) to improve the performance of commercial reverse osmosis nanomembranes.
